Could this be a postal money order scam?

Just today, I received two postal money orders, totaling $1900, purpotedly from this company called American Eagle Outfitters. On the envelope was the return address of 13707 Osborn Ave Dearborn, MI. I had never done any sort of business with this company before.

Using Google Street View, there are no offices there. Surely the employees would not use their home addresses as the return address if mailing checks or postal orders on behalf of the company. Is this a mistake? A scam? If this is a scam, what kind of scam is it?Could this be a postal money order scam?
100% SCAM

It's called money laundering and is a felony offense that can land you in prison for up to 10 years if you deposit them. Those are counterfeit checks and if you deposit them, you will get a call/email/letter saying the money was sent to you by mistake (or that you have been hired as a mystery shopper) and you need to send $3500 back to them through Western Union. Then 3 weeks later when the money orders bounce not only will you owe your bank $3800, but you also sent the scammers $3500 -- leaving you out of pocket $7300!

http://www.ae.com/web/contact/ has the American Eagle Customer Service number -call it and ask to be connected with their corporate accounting department and inform them that you have received money orders in their name. They will probably ask you to forward to them so their security and legal teams can get involved and find these criminals falsely using their name

If you are not an employee of American Eagle Outfitters there is NO way they would be sending you money. These are scammers who are falsely using their name and logo to commit a crime

Also by depositing them you just gave the scammer YOUR bank account details so they can hack into and empty your account

DO NOT deposit or cash these or respond to any calls/letters/emails. Call AE and inform them and they will advise if you should shred the money orders or forward to them for investigationCould this be a postal money order scam?
Yes it IS a scam. DO NOT attempt to cash the checks and DO report it to the postal authorities.
