Is it allowed to send letters with DHL to Brazil?

I just sent a package with DHL to Brazil. It contains a shirt and a letter inside an envelope... but when I read the guidelines for shipment to Brazil, it says that "personal mail" and "postal envelopes" are prohibited?? So, i'm really worried now... does anyone know what's gonna happen or if this really is true?Is it allowed to send letters with DHL to Brazil?
