Ok. This is probably a wierd question, but is it possible to take individual teabags through airport security?

Basically, I want to give my friend a gift which will involve tea-bags in a sealed postal envelope. My worry is that they will look like drugs which would mean the surprise being ruined and my friend getting embarrassed and possibly searched. Anyone any experience in these matters?Ok. I would leave the tea bags in their original packaging but please don't sneak things into your friends bag, if they are stopped by security it is going to be worse for them if they don't know what is in their own bag.Ok. Yeah like the person above me posted, dont put it in her bag without her knowing. It will look like drugs. Just get the box of tea, and leave it in your bag. then when you get past the security check point, you can put it in an envelope, and sneak it in her bag while she is going to get food or something... or on the plane or something like that.Ok. considering the volume of letters and packages being mailed every day, the chances that your postal envelope is searched are smaller than making the jackpot in the lottery...and in any case u have nothing to be worried about when u only sending 'regular' tea
