..all different size envelopes, boxes for Priority, Express, etc., a fa zillion different faces for stamps, etc?

The Postal Service is already a private organization. They run on their own revenues. Taxpayer money is not used for the postal service. They were a government agency in the past and if they stayed that way, they would still be a viable service. The Postal Service is a prime example of what happens to an agency, or administration once they are privatized. If Republicans get their way and privatize social security and medicare everyone will be working until they die. The only civilized country that can't reward their elderly for the contributions they made to the country throughout their years. It would be embarrassing.Post Office in the red? Yup, and soon we will have monthly bills just to drive on roads to work. Some of us already have things attached to our windshield. In my state it is illegal to attach things to your windshield.
