I think it can take up to 4 weeks each direction. I was visiting Honduras recently and we sent some postcards to friends back here in the States and they still haven't received them. That was about 4 weeks ago.
If you still haven't received anything in one more month or so, try sending another letter.

I sent a package in December and it did not get there till the next August. We thought someone had stolen it or it got lost but months later theyt called and said it was recieved. Sadly the best thing to do is send stuff UPS or Fedex insured and 3-7 day delivery. One envelope cost me $50.00 to send

How long does it take for mail to get to Honduras from the United States?I honestly dont know the exact amount of time, but it could possibly take a couple of weeks...no more than a couple of months though. Mail service sucks there. When we send packages they get there all beaten up and stuff..

Lol. This is why I don't mail letters. My cousin wrote to me from Honduras and it took nearly a month and a half from the date she sent it for me to receive it. I'm referring to regular postal mail. So I am assuming that it will probably take the same amount of time for you to receive a response. Hope this helps.
