I'm looking for a reliable and economical way for sending mail to Colombia. I've tried the "International Priority Mail" from US Postal Service and my envelope never arrived... UPS , FedEx and DHL all charge $65+ for sending envelopes with documents which is too expensive.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Really you have answered your own question.
If the person you are sending to can get to a fax you could send it that way.
Western Union will send a letter/telegraph but they charge by the word.
