What is this that just came in my US postal mail?

it claims to be a $1600.00 travel voucher. The return on the envelope says "The Administrative Offices of RPR/OFV RECORDS DIVISION" in FT Lauderdale Fl. Inside is what looks like a voucher with ramada resorts, Imperial Majesty, Universal Orlando %26amp; Carnival the fun ships logos on it and it says open carefully verify name on documents and then call the 800 number. I don't remember entering any contests but i do stuff online like surveys and stuff. Anyone know if this is legit? What is this that just came in my US postal mail?
It's a marketing piece - don't get sucked into anything you don't want.

Sorry to disappoint you!
No, this is definitely a scam! I got one similar like last year, they try to get personal info out of you to rip you off, plus I heard that if you call the 800 number, they try to keep you on the phone long enough to jack up you phone bill sky high. Just put it through the shredder. What is this that just came in my US postal mail?
Yeah, it's not for real. You could probably get the trip but not without a going through a lot of trouble to get it. I get those in the mail sometimes too. Don't waste your time unless you want to go on vacation very badly! :)
It's probably a marketing gimmick, otherwise known as a junket. It is a way of getting you to visit a particular site or resort, time share condo, or land for sale then they put pressure on you to sign up to purchase it. It sounds good, but they will probably have you sit for hours watching films and presentations to convince you to buy something. What is this that just came in my US postal mail?
I live in Florida and I just got one of those $1600 vouchers in the mail. I checked the company with the State of Florida Corporations, Corporate Officer/Registered Agent Name List Florida Department of State, Division of Corporations- Corporations Online http://www.sunbiz.org/

hit the name or officers or registered agents or corporation name and enter any you like and you will find : Mr. Daniel Lambert, Mr. James Verrillo, Mr. Robert Tantalo, the predominant names are Lambert and Verrillo and the same lawfirm as registered agents:

Ellen Wasserstrom and the whole lawfirm on most if not all these businesses. They seem to all reside at the address of RPR/OFV 2419 E. Commercial Blvd, Ste. 100, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 33308 except the lawyer, but they are in Ft. Lauderdale also.

The funny thing is that Ramada Plaza Resorts which they claim to be is not a licensed corporation in the state of Florida, been dissolved voluntarily since 4/25/05 and it didn鈥檛 have an FEI number. They have several FEI鈥檚 under several other Corporations here in the state. You can look them up yourself. There are more than 4 pages of Daniel Lambert being involved with different corporations, just look at the names and you get the idea very quickly. SCAM. Also some other places list this as a SCAM, they take your card number and charge it immediately. If there's a $1,600 voucher in your name why do they need (1) your credit card, (2) any money.

It appears to be a $698 or some ridiculous figure. That's a lot of free to lose.

The list of corporations that these guys have been involved in is long and for a long time period. Name changes are easy, moving assets easy, you get the point.

The only thing I didn't check is whether or not they are really connected to Ramada as sales agents of some sort. They seem to be heavily involved in Timeshare, Cruises, Travel, etc. They are in Florida! Buyer Beware! Check everything!

This is the best I can offer you. Shredder is a good start.
